The Deep Nightmare (ディープ・ナイトメア) is an enemy in the night stages of Sonic Unleashed and one of Dark Gaia's minions. Amongst the least strange of Dark Gaia's monsters, these blue-black humanoid enemies have thick forearms and spiked backs, which nevertheless lend them a bizarre, otherworldly appearence. Deep Nightmares can appear in puffs of supernatural smoke, and are usually found spearheading a group of their lesser cousins, the standard Nightmares.
