Crazy Carl is a minor human character in the 2020 live-action film Sonic the Hedgehog. He is a senior citizen of Green Hills who suspected the existence of Sonic the Hedgehog sometime during the ten years Sonic lived on planet Earth in hiding, and unsuccessfully tried to prove it before Sonic ultimately revealed himself. Carl dubbed Sonic as the "blue devil", a name the town associated with his urban legend for a long time. Sonic would often indulge in Crazy Carl's capture campaigns just to taunt him.

Carl's drawing of the "blue devil" featured in the film is based on the "Sanic Hegehog" meme, one of the few internet memes Sega has officially embraced. Carl is portrayed in the film by Canadian actor Frank C. Turner.
