Bouncy Boss Robot[1], known as Hopping Egg Vulcan (ホッピング・エッグバルカン) in the Japanese manual[2], is the third boss of Sonic Chaos, fought at the end of Sleeping Egg Zone.
Strategy
In keeping with the Pogo Spring theme of the Zone, the Bouncy Boss Robot is a bouncing, gun-toting, Eggman-look-a-like robot. This machine can actually provide some problems, as only the head is vulnerable, and the speed of its bouncing is such that landing a strike takes some work. All the while, the boss' Vulcan cannon spits bullets in Sonic or Tails's direction, making it ever harder to land a hit.
After eight hits in the Master System version, or five hits in the Game Gear version, the player will destroy the boss and move on to Mecha Green Hill Zone.
