From the Space Colony ARK the Biolizard returns to take down our blue hero. Even though Shadow was the character who beat this boss originally, Modern Sonic has to take it down again.
The boss fight is very similar to the original battle. By using the Homing Attack, Sonic can grind up the the beast's life support system to his back to strike him. After a few hits, the boss will shoot energy spheres, which you will have to dodge. The boss will also speed up when chasing you forwards and now backwards. Near the end of the fight like the original, the lizard will shoot MANY energy spheres which Sonic can then home attack to reach the system. The last hit in particular is very interesting, due to Sonic having to float his way up to the core while dodging the purple spheres in his way.
