BBat

BBat is a badnik which could be found in Hidden Palace Zone, in a beta version of Sonic 2, until that level was ultimately scrapped.

It waits for Sonic to get closer, and then it attacks by simply following an U-shaped pattern, ideally hitting Sonic at the lowest point of the arc.

The concept was later reused as Sonic 3's Batbot.
