Game: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit) |
BBat is a badnik which could be found in Hidden Palace Zone, in a beta version of Sonic 2, until that level was ultimately scrapped. This badnik's code was deleted in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (beta 5), along with Redz.
It waits for Sonic to get closer, and then it attacks by simply following an U-shaped pattern, ideally hitting Sonic at the lowest point of the arc.
The concept was later reused as Sonic 3's Batbot.
It also looks like it was meant to use Sonic's Palette as in game it looks off.
