Amazing Arena is a level from Knuckles' Chaotix. When the player first enters the level, the arena is pitch-dark. On-screen cues point the player to switches that turn on the lights and many of the level's moving gadgets. Should the player reach the goal or boss battle without turning on the power, the level will not count as cleared.

A sub-boss is in each level of Amazing Arena, although the player need not face it. The sub-boss consists of a large Eggman robot with a detachable head that hovers around the arena, and flailing arms that target the player. The sub-boss is defeated after 1-4 hits, depending on how late in the day it is. Finishing the boss quickly results in a large ring reward, while taking too long causes the level to continue with no prize.

At the end of Amazing Arena 5, Robotnik appears in a contraption with arms that extend to try to hit the player. The contraption also projects images of badniks from the level onto a large screen behind the arena; the projections become real and attack the player. The battle ends when the contraption is destroyed and the Dark Ring powering it disintegrates.

Enemies

File:Balru.gif Balru (バルル) - Hovering bots that move in strange patterns. Their sides are well-guarded, so they must be destroyed from above or below.
File:Juppun.gif Juppun (ジュップン) - Clock bot which stays in place, waving its spiked pendulum beneath it. Destroy from above. ("Juppun" is Japanese for 10 minutes.)
File:Chaotixaa 01.gif ??? - This robot rolls along, smashing the ground with its spiked cork object. Most easily destroyed from behind.
File:Chaotixaa 02.gif ??? - This bot runs along the ground. Easily destroyed.
