Game: Sonic Advance 3

Akatento (赤テント)[1] is an enemy Eggman robot from Route 99 in Sonic Advance 3. "Aka" (赤) is the Japanese word for red, while "tento" (テント) is short for "tentoumushi" (テントウムシ), the Japanese word for ladybird.

This mechanical ladybird has no proactive attack or defence; it simply moves back and forwards for a set distance, posing a problem only if the player walks right into it. There is also a blue variant named Aotento.

This enemy may have been based off of the Tentou enemy from Sonic the Hedgehog CD.
