AamirM is a member of the Sonic scene, based in Pakistan, and a Tech Member on the Sonic Retro forums. He is the author of multiple accuracy-focused emulators of various gaming consoles. The most prominent of these is Regen, an emulator of the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis that is regarded as a steady competitor to Steve Snake's Kega Fusion in terms of accuracy to the original hardware. Others include Satronic, emulating the Sega Saturn; Reality0x40, emulating the Nintendo 64; and Turbo Engine, emulating the PC Engine.

Although he is not particularly known for any homebrew or ROM hacking efforts, AamirM's knowledge of the YM2612 and Motorola 68000 assembly, as well as his general insight on how the Mega Drive works, make him a widely regarded go-to guy when it comes to technical knowledge. In addition, he has also been known to playtest various Sonic hacks in his emulator and to help the authors work out bugs in their code.

Being Pakistani, AamirM's English is not always top notch; however, this does not detract from his ability to interact with the emulation community as a whole. He continues his work on Regen, which recently has included porting it to the Linux platform and adding support for the Sega Mega CD, with the aim that it will become one of the best Mega Drive emulators available for use by the general public.
