3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is an enhanced re-release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Nintendo 3DS and is part of M2's 3D Classics range. The game was released worldwide digitally on the 3DS eShop, and as part of the physical Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 3: Final Stage collection in Japan. Like similar entries in the 3D Classics collection, 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 offers several additional features not found in the original game.
