Spin Dash in Sonic 1 ROM hacks
I know there's a comment under the list saying "Do not add to this list", but shouldn't there at least be a note mentioning that nowadays due to widespread ASM usage and Lightning's and Puto's guide, most recent Sonic 1 hacks have an (almost) perfect spindash in them? --Shobiz 18:18, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- I just meant don't add hacks to the list. There's no problem with mentioning that spindash hacks are now commonplace. - Hivebrain 23:21, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Sonic CD
I think this article needs more Sonic CD, as it only talks about Sonic 2, 3&K, and Sonic 1 hacks. Sonic CD's spindash is different therefore it should have its own section in the article, imo. Nineko 07:32, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Order!?!?!
Yo Dsrb; my beef with the ordering is simply that I'm reluctant to have the "Rom Hacks" section in the middle. I don't think the unofficial implementations of spin dash should be sandwiched in with the official ones. So aside from wanting Hacks to be on the bottom section, it can be in any order. ^_^ Frozen Nitrogen (Talk) 12:54, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Not a bad point. What do you think of my latest attempt? --Dsrb 14:18, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's all good; thanks. Frozen Nitrogen (Talk) 15:32, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Diagonal jump trick
It says in the Sonic 2+ section that holding up and pressing jump just after a spin dash will make you shoot up and forward. What. There is absolutely no way this is right, I never heard of anything even close. But just to make sure I didn't have Alzheimer's, I used frameskip on Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, tried doing the "trick" with different timings, and got nothing. There are two things that are true: a) Jumping right after a Spin Dash does make you go far and high, but not any higher than the normal jump height, because it's not some special technique or anything. b) Jumping while ascending ramps, specially at high speed, causes large vertical jumps, but normally slow horizontally. Neither of these are anywhere near close that fact. I'm gonna remove it in a few days if nobody explains here. Espyo 23:22, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
