Blue Knuckles?

How is that a bug? - Hivebrain 22:36, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Knuckles never appeared in Sonic 3, and if you do something just right, he appears. (except he's blue) Unless I'm mistaken and you can get him only by hacking. True_Dude 22:38, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Then it definitely isn't a bug. Bugs only occur during normal gameplay. - Hivebrain 22:44, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Actually, Blue Knuckles appears in the game on the sign post, it's already in the glitch page. - supersonicmario

Strange Title Cards

Are you sure this wasn't fixed in any version? I tried to reproduce it in Sonic & Knuckles right now but wasn't able to. --Shobiz 07:35, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I'm not sure, i ported the section in a hurry and didn't test it on sonic & knuckles, or sonic 3 & knuckles. Feel free to test all the bugs, cause these bugs were ported from the main article. Most of them specified the bugs were sonic 3 alone, but it wouldnt hurt to double check.--MathUser 20:56, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Various bugs

I've added various bugs I've been able to reproduce over a number of years in vanilla Sonic 3. I have a UK version, I'm not sure which - using just a Megadrive and the game cartridge, how would I find out the version number, in case these bugs are version specific? Tails' Sudden Death

I'm not sure the description of this bug is correct. I was under the impression that Tails dies because he crosses the lower level boundary while the level isn't set to wrap vertically, caused by the LACK of snowboard sequence, which led the programmers to forget to set the vertical wrapping property at the beginning of the level (as it happens with Sonic, instead), and entering a Bonus Stage or a Special Stage enforces that flag nonetheless, allowing Tails to proceed. This is just a guess as I don't have a Sonic 3 disassembly, though. Nineko 14:38, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

That's exactly true, the vertical wrapping effect is caused by the snowboarding section. Since Tails doesn't go there, the wrapping isn't set. Thus killing Tails. (Poor Tails) - supersonicmario
