Sonic the Hedgehog 3C (prototype 0408)/Comparisons

In the latest episode of "Sonic Retro tasks nobody will ever do", detailed comparisons of prototypes. Because I've always hated the way that a site founded on extensively researching a specific Sonic 2 prototype has only felt the need to drop a few bullet points for everything else.

While this may seem a big-ish task, I think most of the layout changes can be covered with a single pair of uploads - ripped maps from both the prototype and the final game (and spoilers: we probably have the latter). We probably only need to draw attention to specific parts of the level that are notable, e.g. "doing x is too hard because the level looks like y".

One of the other aims of this exercise will be to finally merge the remnants of S2Beta:Main Page into the Sonic Retro wiki proper, instead of documenting things twice. It's only taken 11 years so far -Black Squirrel (talk) 13:55, 4 April 2018 (CDT)

This really drives home how much the Sonic Retro wiki as a whole just feels very neglected while the forums get all the activity. Announcing such wiki tasks on the forums is probably something you should do. --BSonirachi (talk) 09:07, 5 April 2018 (CDT)
