Eiosian spheres

From Sonic Retro

Eiosian spheres is an unknown object formally seen in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, this unknown object can be found by using Debug Mode in the first phase of Angle Island Zone Act 1 (The very first level of both games), and is the 20th object in the debug list.

when placed, it forms a set of sphere-like objects in different sizes whilst rotating them in 360 circular area, this however only appears when the main character has moved somewhat near the large spinning ring object (The entrance to a "Special Stage" in Sonic 3) near the beginning of the act, otherwise will present nothing except a large single sphere on it's own which within time disappears. It also changes the colour palettes, messing with the yellow colours used by Rings, The HUD, and a numerous amount of other objects. This object has been known to cause the game to process alot slower then it's usual rate, lagging the game until out of the screen's distance upon which it will delete it's self.

Using the second player controls, Left and Down buttons on the D-Pad cause the spheres to move along the Y axis, Up and Right cause the spheres to change rotation speeds, finally A and C cause the spheres to expand or contract in size, giving the effective illusion that the spheres are moving towards and away on a Z axis.

No-one is sure of exactly what this object is, does or is suppose to do. The name "Eiosian" does not exist as a proper word, However, the original name of this object is unknown and remains to this day known as "Eiosian Spheres".

I am against a creation of an actual page for this debug mode object. A redirect is sufficient.--MUser 23:45, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
