Christmas Island

From Sonic Retro

Yuji Naka interview

In this this Yuji Naka interview, he mentions that Christmas Island is a real place, where Americans tested nuclear weapons. That would make it the other Christmas Island.

The original PDF has been saved by the Wayback Machine. I'm not sure what the rules are for hosting such a thing, but it's there. --Pecky (talk) 17:54, 25 May 2019 (EDT)

You can upload it here... I can upload it for you if you want... do you know the name of the magazine?... I don't know Russian... --Asagoth (talk) 05:54, 26 May 2019 (EDT)
If you could, that would be great. It's called Страна игр, or "Gameland". --Pecky (talk) 15:17, 26 May 2019 (EDT)
Cool!... one more thing... is it "317" the number of the magazine? Or the first issue of the magazine (Nº 1)?... I just need to know that... sorry for not asking before... I forgot about that detail...--Asagoth (talk) 15:32, 26 May 2019 (EDT)
Looking at the official website, they still have an archive of their 2013 issues. Going by the covers, there seems to be a double numbering system going on. So 317 is the "real" issue number, but there's a second numbering system that resets at the beginning of each year (so this issue is "Nº 1" of the year 2011). Usually magazines just use one system or the other, not both. Not sure if this double numbering system is more common in Russia or something. --Pecky (talk) 07:49, 27 May 2019 (EDT)
Done... now you can use it for referencing whatever you may want...--Asagoth (talk) 09:34, 27 May 2019 (EDT)
Edit: Do you want those 2013 magazines too?...--Asagoth (talk) 09:51, 27 May 2019 (EDT)
Thanks! Couldn't hurt to have more I suppose. The Wayback Machine has a bunch of other issues archived too, if you adjust the issue numbers in the URL. Here's issue 316, for example. --Pecky (talk) 12:34, 27 May 2019 (EDT)
After all we already had some Gameland magazines... but under the name "Strana Igr"... you can find them here...--Asagoth (talk) 12:46, 27 May 2019 (EDT)
