There is no protection for Sonic and Tails from falling during the introductory section. In the final, blowing air keeps them from falling down the pits on the left and right.

There is a swinging spiked cup as early as the beginning of the Zone. It was later replaced with two platforms, and the Eggrobo was moved to the right.

When the above Warp Point was realigned, this section had to be altered to compensate.

After beating the Green Hill and Metropolis bosses, the timer freezes and Sonic loses the ability to turn into Super Sonic. Dying or entering a Bonus Stage fixes the problem.

The music cues for both Mecha Sonic fights are dodgy in this prototype - as soon as the final boss theme plays, the normal Act 2 boss theme starts up again, and The Doomsday Zone music does not play for the fight against Super Mecha Sonic.

When Super Mecha Sonic is defeated, he drops through the ground and off the screen...and nothing else happens afterwards.
