- 1990 — Kazuki Hayashi, the Japanese voice for Miles "Tails" Prower in Sonic Adventure, is born.
- 2001 — Issue #98 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics is released in North America. Issue #209 of Sonic the Comic is released in the United Kingdom.
- 2007 — Issue #176 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics and Volume 3 of the Sonic the Hedgehog Archives are released in North America.
- 2013 — Sonic the Hedgehog is released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in Europe. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in North America and Europe.
