Sonic Hopping 2 (ソニックホッピング2) is a mobile phone game released as part of the Sonic Cafe service offered by Sega. In this game, the player plays as Sonic and has to collect all the rings on the field. Sounds easy enough, except Sonic can only move from any given space to 4 possible spaces - 2 to his left, 2 to his right, 2 to his front, and 1 directly behind. Also, any square on the field that is black is a hole in the ground that Sonic cannot stand on. The more points are awarded the faster the level is completed and the fewer steps are taken. It's essentially the same game as the original Sonic Hopping, except this time Sonic is "infiltrat[ing] a secret base!"
