Sonic DS is a 2010 proof-of-concept port by Stealth of Sonic 1, 2, and 3 & Knuckles for the Nintendo DS. Sonic DS was originally made with hope of incorporation into the official release of Sonic Classic Collection as its core gameplay engine.

Although Sonic DS is an unfinished proof of concept, it showcases a fully-playable port of the first level from Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix: a ROM hack to which Stealth also contributed. Most of the ROM hack's original features were faithfully ported to Sonic DS.
