SOTI

From Sonic Retro

SOTI joined the community around June 2007. He is a member of RetroHack, SSRG as well as other forums including Sonic Retro. One of his main interests is editing the Sonic Retro wiki, from uploading stuff to making templates to doing minor edits, SOTI has made over 700 edits to the wiki, although he's barely created pages of his own. SOTI does a bit of hacking himself, when he's bothered. Usually, he doesn't feel like doing anything because it doesn't meet the standards of today's hacks. However, he has ported Knuckles to Sonic 2 using an incomplete disassembly of the Knuckles in Sonic 2 UPMEM that Puto made, even though a few other hacks already have Knuckles as an additional character, it's still a notable achievement. Even though it isn't complete, it will be, one day.

To-do List

• Finish off the Knuckles port by sorting out things like loading his own life icon, results screen text, etc.
• Make his music conversions made with xm3smps not sound like shit.
• Make a good quality Sonic hack that meets the standards of today's Sonic hacks, but that obviously won't happen. Ever.

Fast Facts

• SOTI stands for Sonic On The Internet. This was often used as a meme on a few IRC channels in the Sonic community, with INTERNET said in bigtext.
• Another old meme that SOTI was involved in was Straight Line Zone. In August 2007 a hack of his was leaked featuring a level, Green Grass Zone, in which Act 1 was made up of a straight line.
• SOTI's hacking skills are very limited. As said above, he can't make anything good. He has said during November 2008 in #retro that somebody should teach him the tricks of the trade. Nobody has offered and this will probably never happen.
• SOTI quickly whipped up a Sonic 1 hack for the 2008 Hacking Contest in which the first Special Stage resembled a penis. It didn't win anything though, but it didn't matter.
• This article needs an entire rewrite. Why? Because you touch yourself at night.
