Magazine Preview #09 - Early Sonic 2 Hill Top Zone

Note the seesaws in the left screenshots. Where there's supposed to be an enemy sitting at one end, we see a green ball instead. It appeared to be the same object at the middle of the seesaw.

One reasonable explanation would be that the graphics for the enemy had not been designed yet, and a similar object -- the green ball -- was used as a space holder, as seen in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Nick Arcade Prototype.
