After finding one of Sonic's quills in Tom Wachowski's house, Dr. Robotnik used it to power his Eggpod in effort to keep up with Sonic's speed.

While trapped on the Mushroom Planet, Dr. Robotnik turned his Eggpod into a beacon to call for help. The signal got the attention of Knuckles the Echidna and the Scavengers working with him.

Knuckles (Paramount TV series)

The Buyer used Knuckles' quills he had found across the world to power weapons for him to profit off of on the black market. Agent Willoughby and Agent Mason were gifted quill-powered weaponry to use to capture Knuckles with.
