Preview - Sonic the Hedgehog is a two page preview of Sonic the Hedgehog in the May 1991 issue of the US magazine Sega Visions. Page one has three prototype pictures: The Labyrinth Zone image shows a brick sprite in place of a flame and the rings are missing, the Spring Yard Zone image shows sparkles around the level indicates the level is still Sparkling Zone, and the Green Hill Zone image shows a debug counter located on the bottom right corner of the screen. Page two also shows prototype pictures: the first Green Hill Zone image shows Sonic being knocked back farther than normal when taking a hit, the Labyrinth Zone image shows sideways spikes, and the last Green Hill Zone image shows a debug counter on the bottom right side of the screen again.
