I wod lick a Sonic 2 ROMS is a popular catchphrase used at Sonic Classic. The phrase was originally submitted to Pelord's Sonic 2 Beta homepage in early 2001 by Werdna69696 as an email to the mailbag. Pelord replied with "I would not advise anybody to lick a Sonic 2 ROM. You could get an electric shock." It later became a running joke at the message board, and has had several spin-offs since, including an emoticon of Pelord licking a Natalie Imbruglia CD. The phrase is often misspelt as "I wod lik a Sonic 2 ROMs." Ashura2k's "I wod lick a sonic 2 roms" icon, created in the same year, is shown on the right.
