Game Maker (often abbriviated as "GM"), is a sucessful application created by Mark H. Overmars that allows the creation of games and programs. It is both easy and expansive due to the drag and drop features for new users and the 'GML' programming language for advanced users. Currently at version 7, Game Maker has taken fangame and indie communties by storm, its main rival being Clickteam's Multimedia Fusion. The Game Maker's current site is located at YoYo Games.

Recently, a Game Maker 8 beta has been released for testing.
