Down Syndrome Sonic

From Sonic Retro

This page has been deemed a complete failure by Sonic Retro officials. We acknowledge its existence, and agree that it should not be deleted, but we've decided to protect it from spiraling into a festering pile of extreme failure. You are free to suggest "improvements" on the talk page, but your time will be better spent sucking cocks in the men's room upstairs.

Down Syndrome Sonic, sometimes referred to as Lazy eye Sonic or just Downs Sonic for short, is a reference to the goofy Sonic render found in two Sonic 3D betas. In both the 825 and the Saturn Tech Demo prototypes he appears on the Start menu background. The name down syndrome Sonic was given likely due to the open mouth and independent eye movement.

The discovery of downs Sonic stole some of thunder away from other betas released by drx during the February 23, 2008 Proto Release. Countless forum members began to replace their avatars with an image of the head, occasionally making customizations to fit their personality--for example, down syndrome Metal Sonic, Shadow the Hedgehog, as well as countless others. The Sonic 3D beta thread was also filled with comedic modifications of the image, usually involving pasting it on many other popular joke images for more comedic value.
