These are cheat codes which can be accessed by inputting button sequences or by various other methods.
Cheat Codes, All Versions
- Secret Stage Mode: Complete all 7 special stages, then, on the main menu, press

- Extra Zone: Get All 7 Chaos Emeralds,Then Beat The Final Zone With Sonic As The Leader.
- Unlock Sound Test: Beat the final zone.
- Unlock Time Attack (Boss): In ALL zones and acts, get medals of all colors (Final and Extra zone also).
- Unlock Amy: Beat zone 4 act 3 with Sonic as leader.
- Unlock Cream: Beat zone 6 act 3 with sonic as leader.
- Unlock Knuckles: Beat zone 2 act 3 with Sonic as leader.
