From Sonic Retro Buzz Bomber, called Beeton (γγΌγγ³) in the Japanese manual, is an enemy found in multiple zones in both Sega Genesis and Sega Game Gear versions of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. They are airborne enemies that fly until just above Sonic and fire a bullet down diagonally at him. They then fly off rather quickly. It's easiest to defeat them during the pause immediately before they fire.

Sonic GenerationsThree flavors of Buzz Bombers take to the skies in Sonic Generations. Yellow Buzz Bombers hover in place and take pot shots at the character. They appear in their native Green Hill Zone and in Modern Sonic's Planet Wisp. More uncommon purple Buzz Bombers simply fly towards the player in Green Hill, and aren't any danger if you're in an offensive maneuver. Rarer giant purple Buzz Bombers cannot actually hurt you, but can propel you high into the air if struck with a Spin Attack from a certain height. This is a major source of assistance for Classic Sonic as he races Knuckles in an extra mission in Green Hill Zone. Technical Information
