The Biolizard is a major boss fought in Shadow Generations, the second game featured in Sonic X Shadow Generations. Based on the original boss fight from Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow once again takes on the Ultimate Lifeform prototype at the end of Cannon's Core. This fight is different from both the original game and the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations.

Strategy

First Phase

The first phase begins similarly to its previous versions, with the Biolizard attempting to get closer to Shadow in order to bite him or strike him with its tail. However, unlike the original battle and the 3DS version, where the Biolizard shoots black matter spheres at varying heights — one low and one high — this version only launches lower spheres; Shadow must dodge these by either using a well-timed boost or jumping over them. When the Biolizard gets tired and needs to catch its breath, Shadow can grind along his life support tubes to reach the creature's weak point.

Second Phase

In the second phase, things quickly change when the Biolizard mutates and develops grotesque wings adorned with pink spheres. It attacks Shadow by smashing the ground with its wings, creating energy waves that Shadow must either dodge by running away, jumping over or strategically using Chaos Control. Jumping over allows Shadow to successfully follow up with a Homing Attack. Once the Biolizard is downed, Shadow has the chance to Homing Attack his way up the pink spheres to reach the creature's weakness again.

In a desperate attempt, the Biolizard leaps and hits the ground forcefully, causing three energy waves to appear; this moment presents the perfect opportunity for Shadow to strike one of the plunged wings with a Homing Attack and end this phase.
